Anyone 12 years of age and older living, working or going to school in York Region is now eligible to book an appointment for their COVID-19 vaccination.
Currently, Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized by the Government of Canada for those age 12 to 17. Individuals must be 12 years old as of the date of their appointment. To make an appointment for this age group as well as all adults over 18, visit york.ca/COVID19Vaccine
Family members 12+ are encouraged to book appointments together for anyone who has yet to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals 13 years of age and under require a parent or legal guardian to provide consent at the time of the vaccination. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany their 12 and/or 13-year-old child to the appointment, they then can complete and sign a consent form and send it with the child to the appointment.
Second doses will continue to be administered to eligible individuals, as directed by the province.
York Region continues to open new vaccination appointments each week and offer a variety of opportunities for residents to be vaccinated in their community.
Currently, more than 640,000 York Region residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This represents 65 per cent of the region’s adult population (18+).
Appointments are required. Walk-in appointments are not available. Do not visit a vaccination clinic without an appointment – you will be turned away.
