Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
On Nov. 30, at approximately 3:20 p.m., York Regional Police were called to the area of Davis Drive and Highway 48 for a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road, striking a 76-year- old female pedestrian in her driveway.
The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly the victim succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The vehicle involved was a blue GMC Sierra truck. Police say that the driver, a 66-year-old male from Uxbridge, remained at the scene and suffered minor injuries.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
