Voices Alive Choir is a fun choir for women. No auditions, experience, or reading of music is required.

The group learns from recorded tracks and sings a dynamic variety of songs, from pop to folk to jazz – past and present.

“Share your love of music in a supportive community,” choir director Mary Bennet said. “We welcome you to come out for a practice with no obligation. Let your song out!

Weekly practices are Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. James Presbyterian Church, 6432 Main Street in Stouffville.

The love of music and amazing friendships are key to many choir members.

“I love being part of Voices Alive!  The songs we sing are fun and beautifully arranged,” member Laura Jones said. “Whoever thought I’d be part of a group that could create such a wonderful sound. I leave each practice feeling happy and energized, and am grateful for our director, Mary Bennet, and the friends I share this experience with.”

Member Carrie Sally mentioned, “New and lasting friendships, laughter, and a fresh love of music and singing is what this women’s choir means to me.”
