Latcham Art Centre is offering a variety of winter-season programming.
The fun and creative all-ages free drop-in program, Latcham Saturdays will resume on January 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are curious about art and want to try out some art activities, this program is a great way to get an introduction to the creative world.
The free youth drop-in program, Youth Open Studio (Ages 12-16), will resume on January 26 from 4 – 8 p.m. If you are looking for a space to work on your own art, connect with other youth, and try different creative art activities, this program is perfect for you.
Adult Exploring Watercolour for Beginners and Intermediates will also be offered again. Whether you are new to the medium or you have experience, these programs are wonderful and taught by professional artist-educator Sarka Buchl Stephenson.
The Adult Paint Challenge is an exciting social event that involves a live painting competition. There will be three 15-minute heats of six participants, with a final heat of the winners from heats 1-3. If you and/or someone you know would be interested in this January 27 event, be sure to register to secure your spot as a competitor, as spaces are limited. Registration for spectating is also required.
Latcham will have Wine & Paint Nights from 7 to 9 p.m. on February 16 and again on March 1. These evenings are fun for friends, family and solo creative time. Supplies are provided along with an instructor who will guide you during your new favourite night out.
