TRCA hosts treasure hunt at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park
Families are invited to take part in an enchanted treasure hunt at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park Nature Centre in Stouffville.
The event, to be held Saturday, Aug. 24, is among numerous activities hosted throughout the Greater Toronto Area this month by Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). Many of the activities and events are free.
Treasure hunt participants should take their hiking shoes to explore the trails while searching for hidden treasure using riddles and clues. Discover unique natural wonders, interesting insects and perhaps even some beautiful birds. The event takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park Nature Centre at 3291 Stouffville Rd. The cost is $75 per family of two to four people and $15 per additional person. Learn more and register.
Upcoming webinars include Gardening in a Changing Climate. Participants will learn about rainwater harvesting, native plant gardening, rain gardens and permeable paving in this introductory gardening program that focuses on climate change resiliency. The free event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Learn more and register.
