Sign up for creativity and fun

Looking for a fun and creative way to spend the holiday season? Latcham Art Centre’s Winter Break Art Camp for ages 5–11 offers a fantastic opportunity for young artists to explore their imaginations. Scheduled for December 30, January 2, and 3, this art camp allows participants to register for one, two, or all three days. Each day features new projects using different materials, styles, and techniques. Drop-off starts at 8:30 a.m., and pick-up runs until 4:30 p.m.

The excitement continues into the new year with Creative Foundations programs beginning on January 18. Creative Foundations 1 (ages 5–8) takes place from 10 a.m. to noon, while Creative Foundations 2 (ages 9–11) runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. These immersive classes offer young artists the chance to dive into various media and techniques, encouraging them to express their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Parents and friends are invited to a special art show on April 12, where all the incredible artwork created over the season will be on display.

Exploring Watercolour returns on January 16 for adult artists, with separate classes for beginners and intermediates. Beginners meet from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will learn about watercolour techniques, from colour mixing to layering, resulting in a beautiful final piece. Intermediate classes, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., encourage experimentation with composition and colour. Both programs are led by a professional artist-educator, and all materials are provided.
