OJHL teams to use NHL-level analytics with Sportlogiq partnership

Sportlogiq, a global leader in AI-powered hockey analytics, has announced a major partnership with the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), which will see all 24 teams adopt the company’s iCE Elite platform beginning in the 2025–26 season.

With this league-wide rollout, every OJHL team will gain access to Sportlogiq’s advanced video-based analytics — including more than 500 metrics used at the NHL level, such as expected goals (xG), controlled zone entries and exits, and shot location breakdowns.

“Bringing pro-level tools to the junior level is exactly why we built iCE Elite,” said Mitchell Wasserman, CEO of Sportlogiq. “We’re excited to work with the OJHL to help every team in the league access smarter, more actionable insights — whether they’re developing players, preparing for the next game, or building for the future.”

Sportlogiq’s iCE Elite platform provides teams with comprehensive video breakdown tools, customizable reports, and in-depth performance data — all designed to help coaches, players, and staff make smarter, faster decisions.

“We’re always looking to give our teams a competitive edge,” said Rick Morocco, OJHL Vice President of Business Operations. “The ability to review detailed video, generate reports and track progress using objective data gives our players and coaches real insight into how they can improve and succeed at the next level.”

“This is big news for our hockey staff and our players,” added Spirit General Manager/Governor Kenny Burrows. “Starting in September, they will have access to the same analytics NHL teams and players look at. This can only aid on-ice performance. We’re looking forward to it.”

The OJHL is the largest Junior A league in Canada and serves as a key development pathway to the NCAA, CHL, U SPORTS, and the NHL. By integrating Sportlogiq’s iCE Elite, the league joins a growing movement to bring cutting-edge, professional-grade technology to the grassroots level of the game.
