Local group supports Salvation Army

The annual August Lavender Tea was another huge success. The group of local ladies have been meeting for tea and helping the Salvation Army for 18 years.

“We had about 50 ladies attend,” said organizer and host Ristina Ferrari.

The donations of clothing and furniture were packed in Ferrari’s garage and then transferred to the Salvation Army Thrift Store trucks.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store team was very appreciative of the group of ladies who attended the tea and provided donations.

“Your support enables us to provide essential programs and services that uplift our local community, including food banks, shelters for people experiencing homelessness, school programs, camps, addictions rehabilitation and emergency disaster services,” said Tonny Colyn, National Director Business Development and Sustainability for The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
