Latcham Art Centre presents a new year of exciting programs

Latcham Art Centre is proud to partner with the family of Catherine Anne Courtney to celebrate art and creativity with this exciting, inclusive program. It is an opportunity to learn, get creative, and connect with art through hands-on art activities. Join the free all-ages drop-in program in the Leisure Centre lobby on select Saturdays from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. On January 24, explore the magic of music by creating a paper accordion for a WinterSong special craft. Experience and registration are not required.

In addition to the gallery and studio at 2 Park Drive, Latcham Art Centre also hosts exhibitions at the Stouffville Town Office at 111 Sandiford Drive. The town office gallery is in a pleasant, open area in the heart of the building. This space provides exhibition opportunities for York Region artists and is a great venue for community members to become more familiar with the work of local artists.

Latcham’s 2026 Town Office Gallery schedule starts off with an exhibition of paintings by two much-loved and respected Stouffville artists, Margaret Grandison and Ray McNeice.

These two artists travel the world together with their painting supplies to capture memorable scenes from the places they visit. Their watercolour and acrylic paintings respond to sensations that reach beyond the visual impressions of a location. These rich and colourful artworks capture the artists’ impressions of places in and around Whitchurch-Stouffville, as well as other Canadian and overseas locations they have visited together. This exhibition is on view until January 30.
