Christmas Giving Fair provides family-friendly activities
Youth Programs of Saints Panteleimon, Anna & Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church of Markham (GOC Markham) presents a day of giving back this holiday season and an afternoon of fellowship.
The Christmas Giving Fair is an outdoor event featuring free admission, festive music, Greek dancing, children’s activities, treats from Yiayia’s kitchen, and a special visit from Santa. In addition, vendors will sell food items, Christmas gifts, and baked goods.
Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of new toys, new winter clothing, non-perishable food, or grocery gift cards. Contributions will support the York Regional Police Holiday Heroes Campaign, York Region Food Bank, Greek Orthodox Family Services, and St. John the Compassionate Mission.
Co-Chair Maria Athanasoulas of GOC Markham shares the spirit behind the event: “Our Christmas Giving Fair is our thank you to everyone who shares in the joy, love and hope of this most significant holiday. Remembering the importance of living out our faith through love, generosity, and service. We welcome everyone to our doors.”
The event takes place on Dec. 7 from 12 to 5 p.m. at GOC Markham (11323 Warden Ave., just south of 19th Ave.). For more information, visit gocmarkham.com.
