York Regional Police launches new website

York Regional Police has launched a new, improved website designed to enhance the user experience.

Built with customer service and accessibility top of mind, the new website is compliant with standards legislated by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Serving one of the most diverse regions in Canada, the site features user-activated translation and a live chat assistant, ensuring community members can access the information they need in their language.

The revamped site also features a new media centre with a community blog and filterable media releases, allowing residents to stay informed about events and updates in their district, city or town.

New district pages allow members of the public to receive news and information about their municipality, and to hear from their policing leaders about policing priorities.

With an updated design and improved user experience, the website allows community members to navigate simplified menus and pages more efficiently and effectively.

“The new website reflects the York Regional Police commitment to continuous improvement and modernization,” Chief Jim MacSween said. “Whether it’s filing a report, requesting a record check or applying for a job, the improved website allows our community members to find what they need easily and quickly.”

The site has also been optimized for mobile devices, ensuring seamless functionality across all screen sizes.
