Wizardy summer school at the library

The library is brewing up something magical for teens this summer: Wizarding Summer School.

From August 10 to August 20, the library is offering a series of programs for lovers of the fantasy genre.

Craft your own magical supplies, brew potions, and test your knowledge of fantasy books and movies in this fun series.

DIY CLUB: Make a Wand. Every wizard needs a wand, and teens are invited to make a custom wand of their own. Wednesday, August 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.

DIY CLUB: Make a Magical Journal. Teens can create an enchanted book to record all their ideas. Thursday, August 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Potions Class & Board Game Café: Make a delicious, colour-changing lemonade ‘potion’ and play magical games in our board game cafe. Wednesday, August 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

After Hours: Escape from Wizarding School. Teens will have to use all of their intellect and intuition in this magic-themed escape room event. Thursday, August 18 from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Magical Trivia: Compete for prizes in magical trivia based on books, movies, and fandoms. Saturday, August 20 from 2 to 4 p.m.
