Investigators with the York Regional Police (YRP) Hold-Up Unit are seeking two suspects and witnesses following armed robberies at two pharmacies in the Town of Whitchurch Stouffville.
On October 20 at approximately 4:55 p.m., police were called to a pharmacy located on Mostar Street near Innovator Avenue, for a report of a robbery. YRP says that two male suspects entered the store, one holding a gun, and demanded drugs and cash. The suspects were unsuccessful in getting drugs from the safe but obtained a quantity of cash before they fled from the scene.
At approximately 5:05 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a nearby pharmacy located at 5892 Main Street, for another report of a robbery. Police say that two male suspects entered the store and demanded cash and drugs while holding a gun. The suspects obtained a quantity of drugs and cash before they fled from the scene.
Fortunately, nobody was physically injured in either incident.
The suspects are described as male, Black, 20 to 30 years of age, 6’ with medium builds.
