Doors Open Whitchurch-Stouffville returns on June 3. Stop by Latcham Art Centre (LAC) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to get creative, take in some artwork, and learn about the exhibition process from professionals in the field.
Join LAC curator Tyler Durbano for on-demand tours of the current exhibition What we tend by Emmanuel Osahor. Speak with practicing artists to hear about their experiences applying to exhibitions in professional art spaces, like Latcham Art Centre. Get creative in the studio with the “Garden Picnic” project. Create your own picnic basket, food, and flowers with a variety of art materials. Admission is free and all are welcome.
On June 10, you’ll find the LAC team at Memorial Park during Art in the Park, an outdoor art show and sale, featuring fine art, family activities, and more. Drop by the LAC tent from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an exciting Latcham Saturday art project for all ages. Then, explore the talent of artists from across Southern Ontario, including the winners of Latcham Art Centre’s 2023 youth paint challenge, kickstART! Admission is free and all are welcome.
Summer Art Camp kicks off in the LAC studio on July 3 for young artists ages 5 to 11. With new projects each week, experienced instructors will guide students on a journey of self-expression, imagination, and artistic exploration. At the end of the week, friends and family are invited into the studio for a special art show put on by students.
