Stouffville man wanted for weapon trafficking
Investigators with the York Regional Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a suspect wanted in connection with a firearm manufacturing investigation.
On July 20, investigators began a firearms trafficking investigation after receiving information regarding the alleged manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms at a residence in Stouffville.
Officers executed a search warrant at the residence and seized a quantity of items connected to the manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms, including parts for several handguns and rifles, ammunition, and prohibited devices.
Police have been unable to locate the 30-year-old male suspect, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Investigators are reminding members of the public not to approach the suspect if seen. Anyone who knows the whereabouts, or has information related to this investigation, is asked to contact police immediately.
The accused is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.
