Stouffville garners international awards for events
The Town of Stouffville’s Community Services Events Team earned six 2025 IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards from the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA).
“These international honours highlight the creativity, dedication and collaboration that go into Stouffville’s events,” says Mayor Iain Lovatt. “From parades and festivals to community runs and holiday celebrations, these awards recognize the spirit of our community and the people who make it possible.”
The awards celebrate outstanding achievements in event planning, creative programming and community engagement, with this year’s competition drawing submissions from across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and beyond, the Town reports.
Stouffville received Gold for Best Sponsor Activation (Budget: $50,000–$500,000) for Ribfest presented by Green Infrastructure Partners, Gold for Best Parade (Budget: Under $50,000) for the Stouffville Santa Claus Parade and Gold for Best Overall Entertainment Program (Budget: $50,000–$500,000) for Ribfest.
It also received Gold for Best Event/Program Within an Event to Benefit a Cause (Budget: Under $50,000) for Stouffville Main Street 5K and Kids 1K Dash benefitting Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, Silver for Best On-Site Décor (Budget: $50,000–$500,000) for Stouffville Holiday Market – Civic Square Décor and Bronze for Best New Festival or Event (Budget: Under $50,000) for Symphony Under the Stars.
“Our events are designed to bring people together, create memorable experiences and celebrate Stouffville’s identity,” says Commissioner of Community Services Rob Braid. “This global recognition affirms the impact of that work and inspires us to continue raising the bar.”
The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence across all facets of event production, including marketing, programming and community outreach. Winners are selected by an international panel of industry experts.
