Stouffville Celebrates Summer Series returns
Pull out your calendars: the Town of Stouffville has unveiled its summer event line up and it features free concerts and events you won’t want to miss.
“Each year, the Stouffville Celebrates Summer Series brings our community to life,” says Mayor Iain Lovatt.
“These free events are more than just entertainment – they’re a reflection of our commitment to creating a vibrant, inclusive town where everyone feels welcome. I invite residents and visitors alike to come out, connect with neighbours and make the most of summer in Stouffville.”
The highlight event of the Stouffville Celebrates Summer Series, presented by Hyson Properties, is Stouffville Ribfest, happening Friday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 10. Enjoy ribs, a vendor marketplace, amusement rides and all-ages entertainment. Country hitmaker Nate Haller kicks off the weekend as the Friday night headliner, with local favourite Sully Burrows opening the show. On the Saturday, host KISS 92.5 producer Maria Papadakis welcomes Canadian pop-rock powerhouse Fefe Dobson to the stage.
The Strawberry Festival will take place Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 in Memorial Park followed by Canada Day celebrations on Tuesday, July 1, complete with fireworks, live music and food vendors. Movies in the Park returns with family favourites on Friday, July 25 and Friday, Aug. 15. On Friday, July 18, Symphony Under the Stars returns as the Kindred Spirits Orchestra fills the evening air with music from 8 to 10 p.m., all happening in Memorial Park.
The 19 on the Park Patio Series brings free outdoor concerts to Civic Square, including country tunes with The Band Caves on Thursday, June 26, 80s hits with UK Calling on Thursday, July 17, and British classics from The British Invasion on Thursday, Aug. 14. The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum also joins the celebration with Doors Open on Saturday, June 7 and the 52nd Annual Antique & Classic Car Show on Sunday, Aug. 10, featuring more than 400 vintage vehicles, live performances and exhibits. Latcham Art Centre will offer Art in the Park in Memorial Park on Saturday, June 14. Explore the talent of artists from across southern Ontario between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
