Rising demand for sustainable end-of-life services

In response to a growing need for compassionate and environmentally responsible end-of-life services, the new North Toronto Crematorium has officially opened its doors in Gormley. The state-of-the-art facility, which celebrated its launch with a ceremony in November, promises to deliver respectful and sustainable cremation services to families throughout the region.

The crematorium is designed with sustainability at its core, featuring advanced emissions-control technology to reduce its environmental footprint. The facility also offers serene spaces for families, including a dedicated ceremony area and private rooms for reflection.

Among the dignitaries at the opening ceremony was MPP Paul Calandra, who commended the NTC team’s commitment to both quality and care. “It’s not something we ever want to think about, obviously,” Calandra remarked to owner Eric Tappenden, “but it is very good to know that when you have to, it is people like you and your family who will be at the other end of making sure that it is the easiest process possible.”
