Oak Valley Health hosts free 2025 Community Education Fair
Health is more than appointments and prescriptions — it’s about connection, knowledge, and community. Oak Valley Health’s Patient Education Committee invites you to the 2025 Academic Day Community Education Fair, celebrating this year’s theme: equity, innovation, and excellence in community health care.
Happening Sept. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Cornell Community Centre Lobby, this free event will be a lively hub of health information, demonstrations, and resources for all ages and stages of life. It’s a unique opportunity to see how health care is evolving to better serve our diverse population — and how you can benefit.
Over 20 booths will be hosted by health care professionals from Oak Valley Health and community partners. Whether you’re a young parent, caregiver, senior, or simply curious about local health resources, there’s something for everyone.
Explore booths like Markham Public Library and discover its trusted health resources and wellness reads for all ages; accessible options for mental wellness services; and seniors and community support options – from fall prevention to financial planning, learn how to age in place with confidence.
A diverse lineup of community partners will be on site, including: 911 Nursing GTA • Alzheimer’s Society of York Region • Amica Unionville • Canadian Mental Health Association – York & South Simcoe • Chartwell Retirement Residences • City of Markham • CHATS • Feet First Clinic • Health For All • Krasman Centre • McCalmont Financial • Priority Healthcare • ProResp • Unionville Home Society.
