Latcham Art Centre has programs to help your inner artist feel free.

Whether it’s camp for the kids or painting for the adults, LAC has something for everyone.

Children, ages 5-11, can express their creativity during March Break with fun and artistic activities. Each day features new projects using different materials, styles, and techniques. Camp runs from March 11 to 15 and the price is $58/day.

Youth can let their imaginations run wild and create original artwork at kickstART, Latcham Art Centre’s annual youth Paint Challenge on May 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. Taking place during National Youth Week, the competition provides an opportunity for youth ages 12 – 17 to unleash their creativity and inspire the community. Featuring all-ages art activities, music, snacks, and amazing prizes to be won.

Youth Studioworks is great for youth ages 12 – 17 interested in trying different types of art making, in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment while connecting with their peers at a variety of six workshops. Each session focuses on exploring different materials and different ways of making art from sculpting to painting and more. These unique programs do not require previous experience, and all materials are included. Register for one session or more – each one offers something new. Sessions take place from April 19 to May 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and are $30/session.

Adults can challenge friends or cheer them on during an exciting, social night in the studio – Battle of the Brushes-Adult Paint Challenge features music, drinks, and a live painting competition. There will be three rounds of 15 minutes, followed by a final round of the winners from rounds 1 – 3. Prizes to be won, no experience is required. The event takes place on April 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. and the price for participants is $40 and for spectators is $10.
