Latcham Art Centre’s Annual Juried Exhibition returns

Mark your calendars: Latcham Art Centre’s Annual Juried Exhibition (AJE) is returning for 2024.

This highly anticipated exhibition showcases the talents of Ontario artists who work in a wide variety of media, like sculpture, painting, photography, drawing, and more.

Doors open on March 25 at 7 p.m. with a free reception, where artists and community members can take in artwork on display.

Juror’s awards will be presented at the reception, and guests can cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award, which will be presented at the end of the exhibition on April 27.

Each year, a new panel of three esteemed cultural workers have the challenge of selecting pieces for the show.

This year’s jurors include Aurora Cultural Centre Gallery General Manager Samantha Jones; Curator of Exhibitions at the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington, Megan Kammerer; and independent curator, instructor, and visual artist, Scott Sawtell.

Plan on attending the reception to celebrate the remarkable artists shaping the cultural landscape of our community and beyond.

For artists who wish to submit work for jurying, applications close on March 19. All artwork must be dropped off in person at Latcham Art Centre (2 Park Drive, inside the Leisure Centre) on March 19 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to be considered for jurying.
