Holiday Market, Santa Claus Parade return

The return of the Stouffville Holiday Market and the Santa Claus Parade can only mean one thing: ‘tis the season to be jolly!

The Holiday Market features a local artisan vendor marketplace, live musical performances, lighting displays, food trucks, horse-drawn wagon rides, roaming holiday characters, photo opportunities, carousel and Ferris wheel rides, and Santa Claus.

It runs Friday, Nov. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 30 from 1 to 10 p.m. in downtown Stouffville. The weekend’s festivities kick off on the Friday with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Civic Square at 7 p.m. Also, that night, Gurdeep Ahluwalia from 98.1 CHFI Mornings will host the main stage at 6240 Main St. Juno-nominated artist Ryland James will perform at 8:30 p.m. On the Saturday, Taylor’s Story, a Taylor Swift tribute, hits the stage at 8 p.m.

Inside 19 on the Park, the Beyond Craft Show & Sale returns with up to 30 vendors and is open from Thursday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Dec. 1. The Stouffville Santa Claus Parade return to Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. beginning at Ninth Line and continuing to Park Drive. Santa’s elves will be collecting letters to Santa along the parade route.

Close out the 2024 Stouffville Celebrates Holiday Series with New Year’s Eve Fireworks on Tuesday, Dec. 31 with entertainment on the main stage in Memorial Park. The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. with food trucks and fiery performances. Fireworks light up the night at 7 p.m., rain or shine.
