Drive-thru vaccination clinic opens at SoccerCity

Stouffville residents aged 60 years and older will be heading to SoccerCity, not to kick a ball around but for their COVID-19 vaccination.

All vaccinations at the drive-thru clinic there are by appointment only. “Getting Stouffville residents their COVID-19 vaccination is our highest priority this spring,” says Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt.

“We’ve conducted test-runs for the drive-thru clinic and the process has so far been seamless. This has been a complete community-led and team initiative. We are looking forward to seeing our residents drive through to receive their vaccines and enjoy a positive experience.”

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, the Stouffville Medical Centre and York Region Public Health have teamed up to open the clinic, located on Innovator Avenue. Vaccinations will be offered in the priority sequence outlined by York Region Public Health at york.ca/covid19vaccine. Eligible people can make an appointment by registering online at stouffvillemedicalcentre.ca/covid-19.

Because vaccine supply is limited, clinic hours may vary based on how much vaccine is available. If no appointments are available, check back online often as new slots open as soon as vaccines become available. Innovator Avenue will be a one-way westbound street for the duration of the drive-thru clinic. The entrance into the clinic is accessible from Mostar Street.
