Commemorating residents who lost their lives to COVID-19

In honour of National Day of Observance for COVID-19 on March 11, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville facilities lowered flags to half-mast to commemorate our 12 residents who lost their lives due to this virus.

“It’s been a devastating past year for the world and our community,” Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt said. “Many of our residents know someone personally impacted by COVID-19, and 12 of our community members have passed away due to the virus. It’s a day to reflect and hope for a better year ahead.”

As we start our second year living with the pandemic, York Region continues to provide vaccinations to the highest priority groups.

COVID-19 vaccines will save lives and livelihoods; vaccine supply is increasing over the next weeks and months.
