The COVID-19 pandemic has been more than enough to encourage people to stay closer to home and shop local, but sometimes that’s harder to do in small hamlets.
Luckily for Ballantrae residents, they now have more local shopping options than ever before as the Ballantrae Gates plaza, located at Hwy 48 & Aurora Road, expands to offer more services.
Local dignitaries and residents celebrated the recent Ballantrae Gates ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the following three new businesses: PT Movement Wellness Centre, Organic Planet, and Ballantrae Pharmacy.
“I was delighted to attend the grand openings of not one, not two, but three new businesses to our town” Mayor Iain Lovatt said. “These new businesses are indicative of the growth happening in our community, and I know they will serve our residents well.”
The need for health-minded services has been top of mind since the early stages of the plaza’s planning and these new businesses reflect that plan.
PT’MOVEMENT Wellness Centre is an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and personal trainers. Organic Planet provides a selection of quality supplements, vitamins, bulk food, chemical free cleaning products, soaps, and lotions. Ballantrae Pharmacy, which provides a full array of products and services designed to promote wellness, offers home delivery service in Stouffville to save time and trouble for residents south of Ballantrae.
