Academy offers tuition-free Math program for Stouffville students

The numbers are adding up just fine for InnEd Academy’s non-profit back-to-school math program, as the team recently partnered with the Whitchurch-Stouffville Legacy Fund to provide tuition-free programming for local students.

“As a Stouffville-based founder, I started InnEd Academy to help students rediscover the joy of learning math,” William Thieu said. “Our goal is to help as many students as possible.”

The program provides live online tutoring for students in Grades 1 to 10, with a student-to-tutor ratio of 3:1. Classes run Sept. 8 to Oct. 10, with eight one-hour sessions tailored to either the student’s school curriculum or the academy’s comprehensive math program. Parents can select flexible time slots Monday to Friday between 4 and 8 p.m.

Tutors come from universities such as the University of Toronto, Waterloo, and McMaster, with backgrounds in fields like engineering, software, and forensic science. Guest speakers — including CPAs, Apple engineers, and medical expertss — also inspire students by sharing real-world career insights.

“We want to give every Stouffville family the chance to start the school year strong,” Thieu said. “Our back-to-school math program this September shows parents exactly where their child stands and helps them build the confidence to succeed, all for just a $20 registration fee.”

Thieu says his team helps parents clearly understand their child’s math strengths and gaps, setting them up for a confident, successful start to the school year.
