Stories, creativity and community connections at Stouffville Library this summer

Stouffville Library is kicking off the summer season with exciting programs, cultural experiences, and community engagement opportunities for all ages this June.

Summer programming officially begins with registration opening for residents on June 2 and for non-residents on June 9. The Summer 2026 lineup features a wide range of programs running from July through September, including children’s activities, teen workshops, adult learning opportunities, Makerspace experiences, and family events designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection throughout the season.

A special highlight will be Storytime with Hayley Williams from the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation, which will take place on June 11. This engaging program introduces children and families to Anishinaabe culture through storytelling and shared learning experiences, offering an opportunity to celebrate Indigenous voices and traditions within the community.

The library is also preparing for the launch of the TD Summer Reading Club. Canada’s largest bilingual summer reading program encourages children and families to continue reading throughout the summer while participating in fun challenges, activities, and special events. The TD Summer Reading Club supports literacy development while making reading an exciting and rewarding experience for young readers.

Community members can also connect with Stouffville Library at the Strawberry Festival on June 27 by visiting the library’s booth during the festivities. Staff will be sharing information about upcoming summer programs, services, and activities for residents of all ages.

Together, these initiatives reflect Stouffville Library’s ongoing commitment to creating welcoming spaces for learning and discovery throughout the summer months.
