Incredible story of resilience and strength

Laura, a courageous single mother to a spirited 4-year-old daughter, has faced the daunting challenge of battling cancer not once but twice. Most recently, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), embarking on an intensive journey of treatment and recovery.

Following her diagnosis at the end of 2023, Laura immediately dove into her treatment, determined to conquer the obstacles ahead.

Despite the difficulties that came with her diagnosis, Laura attributes her resilience to the exceptional care she received. With a support system far from reach, the dedicated team at Oak Valley Health stepped in, coordinating an angel nanny service to assist with her daughter, who has special needs. This invaluable support allowed Laura to focus on her recovery without added worry.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the oncology and surgery teams at Oak Valley Health, Laura received the care she needed, and as of September 2024, she is proud to share that she is cancer-free.
