Funding will ensure Seneca has modern facilities, equipment

The Ontario government is helping Seneca Polytechnic have modern facilities, learning tools and equipment through an investment of $5.77 million for the 2023-24 year. Part of this investment requires Seneca to receive matching contributions from a private sector partner to help deliver high-quality education and training to meet the needs of employers.

“These investments ensure that our students have access to safe, modern and advanced campuses to excel in their chosen fields of study,” said Seneca president David Agnew.

The funds are also used to buy instructional equipment and materials, such as new computers and software for teaching purposes, specialized equipment or machinery for use in labs and classrooms, and tools for shops.

“This significant investment ensures students at Seneca have access to modern instructional equipment to meet business and industry standards, increase student access to micro-credentials and enhance the overall student experience,” said Billy Pang, MPP for Markham-Unionville.
