Spring Lakes Public School opens in Stouffville
The new Spring Lakes Public School opens in Stouffville, ensuring students and teachers have the modern learning environments they need to succeed.
The province invested $27.2 million to build the new school, which will offer 638 elementary spaces for local families in the 2025-26 school year.
The school will operate as a single-track French Immersion school. The current French Immersion program at Glad Park PS and Harry Bowes PS will move to the new school.
“The completion of the new Spring Lakes Public School in Stouffville is very welcome news for our community,” Education Minister Paul Calandra said. “This investment will ensure families and students have access to a quality learning environment in the years ahead.”
Since 2018, the provincial government has approved or supported the development of approximately 300 school-related projects, including child care, of which more than 100 are actively under construction.
“Our goal is clear: to provide students with the opportunity to succeed and grow, and ensure teachers have the resources and environment they need to inspire learning and help students thrive,” Calandra said. “We will continue to invest in safe, modern schools while strengthening accountability and transparency across Ontario’s education system to ensure that every dollar invested is preparing students with practical skills for good-paying, stable careers.”
Spring Lakes Public School is located at 431 Baker Hill Blvd. in Stouffville.
