Run unites community in support of MSH
The Mercy 4 Mankind Charity Run, hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA), is dedicated to raising funds for life-saving medical equipment at Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH).
In June 2024, the Mercy 4 Mankind Charity Run officially kicked off with an inauguration ceremony, during which AMYA was presented with a certificate commemorating the start of the run. The event garnered strong support from local leaders.
Run participants can expect to see members of the community, including city councillors, representatives from the MSH Foundation, and the fire and police departments in attendance.
Set against the stunning autumn colours of Milne Dam Conservation Park, participants can walk or run along scenic trails. The event offers several race options, including a 5K run, 3K run, and a 1K fun walk, with medals awarded to top finishers in various categories.
Zohaib Malhi, National Director for AMYA’s Department of Services, emphasizes the importance of community involvement, stating, “We always give back to the community, and we transfer the spirit of generosity, spirit of giving from a very young age so our peers and youth can give back to the community.”
With every step taken, participants are contributing to a meaningful cause. The event embodies the spirit of community and support, helping MSH provide vital resources for better healthcare.
