Rouge River Brewery hosts women’s empowerment event
Rouge River Brewery, a women-led business in Markham, is set to host an evening of networking, empowerment, and community building as part of the SHEvolution Women Empowerment Series by the Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR).
The event will take place at Rouge River Brewery on February 21 and March 21 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from ticket sales will support CCSYR’s vital programs and resources for women in York Region.
CCSYR provides counselling, settlement, refugee and employment services, and community programs with a broad impact.
Founded in 2016, Rouge River Brewery is known for crafting world-class beers and fostering local connections. Owner Kristan Mclean emphasizes the brewery’s dedication to community support, stating, “At Rouge River Brewery, we focus not only on award-winning beers but also equally on supporting our local community.”
Mclean underscores the power of collaboration, adding, “Through partnership events like sip and paint with CCSYR, we can help uplift and empower women in our community while creating space for women in the beer industry.
