A new tool that can help you monitor your water usage and costly leaks is arriving just in time for summer, a season notorious for higher water bills as homeowners water lawns and plants and possibly fill pools.
The Town of Stouffville has teamed up with Vertex One and Neptune Technology Group Canada Co. to offer an online Water Watch Portal that will be active beginning May 29.
Sign up now to have your water use information delivered to your preferred devices. Set and receive leak alerts, identify usage and monitor efficiencies, view and compare historical usage data, and access account information from anywhere.
The Water Watch Portal is part of Stouffville’s ongoing Water Meter Replacement Program. If your water meter has been replaced within the last four years and your email is on file with the Town, you’ll will receive an invitation to register for the portal. Upon registration, you can access it using your email address and unique password that you create.
Because the portal provides real-time data on your water usage, you can identify any areas of concern and take steps to reduce your water consumption and bills. “The Water Watch Portal is going to improve service levels and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Whitchurch-Stouffville,” Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt says.
