Live music series returns to Unionville Millennium Bandstand

The popular, free summer live music series “Thursday Nights at the Bandstand” returns for a 6-week series of live music at Unionville’s Millennium Bandstand.

Organized by community-based Unionville Presents in partnership with the Unionville BIA, funded by dedicated community-spirited live music-loving sponsors, the series presents talented tribute and original music artists to the outdoor Millennium Bandstand on Main Street for all to enjoy free of charge.

The 2024 series performances will run from July 4 through August 8 on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

“We are thrilled with our 15th year of summertime live music program at the Unionville Millennium Bandstand,” said Unionville Presents founder Bill Dawson. “Our artists can’t be more ecstatic to be performing to our appreciative, enthusiastic audience at a venue with an ambience second to none.

“Without the support of loyal sponsors and the Unionville BIA this program would not have been possible.”

This year’s outstanding line-up kicks off on July 4 with Dancing Queen’s, ABBA Revisited with their tribute to ABBA, one of the most commercially successful pop/disco bands of all times, fresh off their annual Philippines tour.

July 11 presents Jukebox Heroes tribute to long overdue 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Foreigner.

On July 18, the Petty Nicks showcase the collaboration of a 40-year musical friendship of Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks with many of the greatest hits of the Heartbreakers and Fleetwood Mac.

Epic Eagles, featuring the incomparable harmonies of the Eagles, will rock the stage on July 25.

With his magnificent performance and outstanding tribute to Elton John’s greatest hits, the incomparable Rocket Man Elton Rohn returns on August 1. The evening will include a celebration of the annual David Conforti – Reach for the Stars Award recipient, an award established jointly by Autism Ontario and the Conforti Family as a lasting tribute to the life of David Conforti in recognition of making a difference through inspiration and volunteerism in the autistic community.

The music series wraps up on August 8 with the ever-popular Johannes Linstead performing his brilliant, fiery guitar repertoire of Latin-Spanish Mediterranean classical hits.

To help fund this year’s music series, organizers are reaching out to the community, visitors, live music enthusiasts, and anyone who can lend support by contributing to their GoFundMe campaign. The goal is to raise approximately $5,000 to assist with funding the series. You can find the GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/93e9f7c2.
