Library promotes summer programs

The library has activities and events to help you make the most of your summer.

If you want to create, craft, or make, the Library’s Makerspace should be your next stop. It has 3D printers, a Cricut machine, a recording studio, robotics, sewing machines, and more for your next project.

You can drop by the Makerspace during open hours or register for a class that will instruct you on how to use the equipment.

The TD Summer Reading Club is reading fun for everyone and continues during the month of August. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories and is designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way: the key to building a lifelong love of reading.

Kids can get ready to Go to the Stars as the 2024 theme is all about space. Over the summer kids can earn raffle tickets for logging in their reading times, completing weekly activities, and writing book reviews.  These tickets can be submitted for prize options online each week for a chance to win.

The TD Summer Reading Program runs at the Stouffville Library until August 24.
