As winter approaches, it’s time to find some indoor activities that will spark your creativity and inspire you to express yourself through art.
The Latcham Art Centre, located at 2 Park Drive, is the perfect place for you and your family to discover the joy and beauty of art. No matter your age or skill level, you will find a program that suits your needs and interests.
The Latcham Art Centre offers a variety of amazing programs, such as:
- Winter Break Art Camps (Ages 5 – 11): Running from December to January 2024, these camps offer a range of fun and exciting art activities every day. You will work with different media, such as painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and more. You will also make new friends who share your passion for art. You can choose which days you want to attend, and the cost is only $55 per day, running from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Creative Foundations 1 (Ages 5 – 8): This is a 10-session program that runs on Saturdays from January 20 to March 23, 2024. It will introduce you to the basics of art, such as colors, shapes, and composition. You will learn how to use different tools and materials, such as brushes, pencils, crayons, and paper. You will also explore different types of art, such as abstract, realistic, and expressive. With each project, you will gain confidence, creativity, and knowledge. The cost is $255, and the hours are 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Creative Foundations 2 (Ages 9 – 12): This is another 10-session program that runs on Saturdays from January 20 to March 23, 2024. It will challenge you to take your art to the next level. You will learn how to use more advanced media and techniques, such as watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, and clay. You will also discover different genres and movements of art, such as impressionism, surrealism, and pop art. With each project, you will embrace creative risks, experiment with new ideas, and create stunning works of art. The cost is $255, and the hours are 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
