Discover nature at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park

Families and nature enthusiasts can explore the outdoors, join creative workshops, and enjoy hands-on learning through a series of upcoming programs at The Nature Centre in Bruce’s Mill Conservation Park.

The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is offering a variety of activities designed to help visitors connect with nature, discover the outdoors and spend quality time together. Located at 3291 Stouffville Rd., the Nature Centre will host programs ranging from parent-and-tot activities to festive crafts and family-friendly adventures.

“The Nature Centre gives families and community members a place to get outdoors, spend time together and learn through experience,” said Mary Gawen, TRCA supervisor of community outreach & education. “By making nature part of everyday experiences, it helps people of all ages discover, explore, and develop a greater appreciation for the natural spaces around them.”

The Little Saplings Parent and Tot Program runs on Tuesdays in November and December from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and gives youngsters a chance to connect with nature through songs, stories, and outdoor time.

On November 8, Print and Be Merry is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome to use natural elements to make a festive, one-of-a-kind holiday card.

On December 12, Grandma Spruce’s Enchanted Forest Quest is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is recommended for families with children ages 4 and older. This event offers a series of forest challenges, puzzles to solve, and nature-themed adventures. In the afternoon, Trail of Treasures takes place from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is recommended for families with children ages 8 and older. Explore the beautiful trails and work as a team to find hidden treasures.
