Stouffville welcomes Jeff Bignell as new Deputy Fire Chief

Stouffville recently announced the appointment of Jeff Bignell as Deputy Fire Chief of Support for Stouffville Fire & Emergency Services.

Bignell returns to the town after previously serving in the role until November 2024, when he accepted a Deputy Fire Chief position with the City of Kawartha Lakes. During his previous tenure in Stouffville, Bignell demonstrated strong leadership, a commitment to public safety and a deep understanding of the department’s operations and culture.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jeff back to Stouffville,” said Mayor Iain Lovatt. “His proven leadership, extensive knowledge of the department and strong commitment to our community make him exceptionally well suited to help guide the continued growth of our emergency and fire services.”

Bignell’s experience and proven record will support the department as it advances key initiatives, strengthens service delivery and prepares to meet the community’s evolving needs.

Bignell will officially assume his role as Deputy Fire Chief of Support on September 14.
