Urban Plaza opening connects community
Stouffville is marking the soft opening of the new downtown Urban Plaza at 6240 Main Street on August 12 from 3 to 5 p.m.
“Join us as we officially open the new Urban Plaza and launch the GIP Stage, a vibrant new space for music, recreation and community gatherings in the heart of downtown,” said event organizers.
“Enjoy family-friendly recreation activities, learn about the upcoming Live on Main music series, meet the local landscape architecture student behind the plaza’s conceptual design and cool off with a sweet treat from the ice cream truck while supplies last.”
The plaza will make for a great place to visit with many features to take advantage of. The plaza will include flexible seating and shaded areas, portable games and activity spaces, a community information wall, and adaptable surfaces so the area can be enjoyed all year-round.
