Amazon delivers thousands of jobs

Amazon plans to hire 9,000 seasonal employees across 55 sites in Canada this holiday season, including locations in York Region.

The average hourly base wage for seasonal roles is nearly $24, with access to select benefits from Day 1, including mental health and wellbeing support through Amazon’s Employee Assistance Program and a new Employee Grocery and Daily Essentials Discount, offering eligible employees 10% off online grocery and daily essentials purchases on Amazon.ca with no cap on savings.

Seasonal roles are available at Amazon’s fulfillment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations, with opportunities to transition into permanent positions and build long-term careers.
