Witnesses sought after Stouffville shooting

Investigators with the York Regional Police Firearms Investigations Team are seeking witnesses following a shooting at a residence in Stouffville.

On July 23, at approximately 1 a.m, police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the area of Flute Street and Noah’s Farm Trail. When officers arrived, they located damage to a second-floor window of the home.

The residence was occupied at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

A grey vehicle attended the area, and several shots were fired at the residence before the vehicle fled.

There are currently no suspect descriptions available.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken with police to come forward. Officers are also seeking any surveillance video or dashcam footage from the area captured around the time of the shooting.

At this time, no motive has been confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
