Latcham presents studio fall programs
Fall is here, and Latcham Art Centre is filled with colour and inspiration. Step into a new creative season – there is something for everyone.
Dress up as your favourite character and build an animation wheel at Stouffville Library’s annual FanFest event on Saturday, October 18, from 10 AM – 3 PM. Bring your favourite character to life in this fun, illustrative art project (also called a Phenakistiscope) with Latcham Saturdays (free for all ages) in the lobby area. You never know who may visit, as there will be character meet-and-greets.
The exciting opportunity to dress up and create art doesn’t stop there. Design a spooky mask just in time for Halloween. Latcham Saturdays (free for all ages) will be at Halloween on Main (www.townofws.ca/play/events/halloween-on-main) on Saturday, October 25, from 11 AM – 3 PM. Choose from three mask shapes and create your own unique look.
Join professional artist educator Christine Cheung on Wednesday, November 12, 19 and 26 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM for Silk Screen Printing (ages 18+). You will explore each step of the hands-on print-making process, learn stencil techniques, and create your very own unique print on a tote bag. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to try something new and have a fun night out. No experience is required, and all materials are provided.
Join Latcham Art Centre for these fun and exciting experiences. Be sure to register now, as there are limited spots available.
