The Flato Markham Theatre (FMT) has a fresh new brand identity, along with and a new patron-centric website.

The Flato Markham Theatre brand is well established in Markham and the immediate surrounding area, yet the reach of the theatre needs to be constantly expanded and enhanced through ongoing marketing efforts in order to reach all the diverse community groups inside and outside of Markham, York Region and the Greater Toronto Area.

The new logo, which was approved by Markham council earlier this year, is a statement of how the theatre has continued to evolve and build on its reputation and ability to attract new and diverse audiences year in and year out.

The new brand identity also offers an opportunity to celebrate the continued naming commitment of Flato Developments.

The theatre also launched its new FMT website at Patrons can now seamlessly search and purchase tickets, subscriptions, and donate online in a desktop and mobile-friendly environment.

In the first week of operations, the new website saw almost 30,000 page views from patrons across the GTA.

“The new web-based system better serves the needs of the theatre moving forward,” said Eric Lariviere, general manager of Flato Markham Theatre. “It will allow our patrons to have an enhanced buying experience, and lets our staff become a more robust, digitally savvy team – the opportunities are endless, and we are excited to see where this can take our theatre operations.”

The new logo and website will assist with increasing awareness and enhance the FMT brand identity, which will allow Flato Markham Theatre to reach, not only its current audience, but new audiences, and generate excitement for upcoming seasons and community engagement.
