The Stouffville Midget double-A Clippers, Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) finalists last spring, will be honoured in a pre-game ceremony at the Spirit’s annual Thanksgiving Monday matinee on Oct. 8. Game time is 2:30 p.m.

During an impressive four-month ride last season, the Clippers went undefeated through 33 games, including an undefeated 24-game regular season in the York-Simcoe league. After winning four rounds of playoffs, the Clippers finally fell to Belle River in the OMHA finals.

The nucleus of the Clippers played together for two seasons, during which they amassed a record of 82 wins, 23 losses and 15 ties. That put them among the top three midget double-A programs in the province, along with the Ted Reeve Thunder and the London Jr. Knights.

This year’s Clippers are looking to keep the winning tradition alive.
