A new generation of Motus O Dance Theatre presents 19 on the Park’s Family Day presentation: Circus Terrifico.
This high-energy, high-hilarity show has been performed over the years by the professional company of Motus O dancers and has now been mastered by select members of the Motus O Junior Company.
The show is focused around three sideshow performers boarding the train to their next show.
A case of vanishing tickets, however, thwarts their plans and strands them on the platform. It takes every trick in the book (and their suitcases) to create an impromptu show to raise money for new tickets. As the station master watches the antics of these three enigmatic clowns, he’s drawn into their mayhem and magic. This hilarious presentation is for all ages on Feb. 18 at 2pm, and tickets are just $5 (plus hst/fees).
For a more grown-up palate, 19 on the Park is pleased to present Johnny Wideman’s Full Bodied Short Stories – Hopped Edition, which features local food, beer and storytelling in one unique show. Joining forces with The Smokery and Rouge River Brewing Company, Wideman has carefully crafted short stories to match tastings of food and beer pairings. This unforgettable event sells out every year, so get your tickets now. $28 (plus hst/fees) gets you three mini-tastings of food, and three 4 oz pours of three different beers.
Tuesdays and Thursdays continue to be movie days in Stouffville with titles such as A Star is Born (Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga) and the hit kids favourite Ralph Breaks the Internet, among others. Titles and screening times are posted on www.19onthepark.ca or call 1-888 655-9090 for tickets.
