Mayor Justin Altmann highlighted some of Stouffville’s unique businesses at this year’s sold-out Stouffville Chamber of Commerce mayor’s dinner which took place on March 7 at Spring Lakes Golf Club.
The objective for the evening was to showcase the diversity within our community and within the Stouffville Chamber membership and to promote and encourage unity within our community.
The evening started with a speech from the mayor about unity in community and the suggestion that our community has a multitude of services available.
“It is time to introduce you together because you do not need to go beyond this border to find what you need in services,” said Almann. He then went on to highlight some of the many business leaders attending the dinner, including wineries, developers and many retailers. He encouraged everyone to consider supporting each other’s businesses by shopping in Stouffville.
The mayor’s speech was followed by a diverse mix of performances, including songs from Kevin Kerr, Chinese lion dancers from Bamboo Kung Fu and Tamil dancers from Kalaikovil Academy of Fine Arts.
