Come feast on all things apple: tasty apple butter, freshly-made apple cider, apple pie, candy apple, caramel apple and apple fritters at the Markham Museum, Sept. 22-23. The two-day event attracts more than 3,000 visitors per day, and for good reason. It’s a fun family tradition offering rides, games, exhibitions, food truck favourites, live entertainment and activities for all ages.
Only during Applefest will the Little Train be available for rides. As well, the museum’s own cider mill will be open and functioning, to produce fresh apple cider for everyone to sample and purchase. The festival is returning for its 34th year, thanks to the many partners such as Markham Historical Society, Friends of Markham Museum and countless new and returning volunteers.
The museum is located at 9350 Hwy. 48 (Markham Rd.). Festival hours: Sept. 22-23 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
