Hospital heroes receive community recognition

It is said actions speak louder than words, however the words of our community are ringing very clear, providing encouragement and making a difference for staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH).

Frontline staff, nurses and physicians at the Markham site were greeted with a sea of lawn signs bearing inspirational messages from the community.

These messages were sent with a donation through the MSH Heroes campaign. And since the campaign launched in April, the MSH Foundation has received hundreds of heartfelt messages of gratitude for the hospital’s frontline team and raised $86,500.

MSH Heroes are recognized with a donation for going above and beyond their role, providing exceptional care with courage and compassion, to patients and their families. To honour your MSH Hero with a donation, visit www.mshheroes.ca and have your special message shared.

Money raised will help the hospital purchase critical equipment and supplies, including personal protective equipment, and other emerging needs to combat COVID-19.
