Urban Strength, one of Stouffville’s health and fitness facilities, partnered with The Canadian Courage Project (CCP) to raise funds for homeless youth in the GTA that have been affected by COVID-19.
Urban Strength recently hosted three back-to-back yoga flow classes, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going towards purchasing hygiene items for the homeless youth.
The CCP team was so happy to see the support of local community members.
“We are so proud of our community for coming together to create change and do our part during COVID-19,” CCP founder Shania Bhopa said. “We are making change one step at a time, and it is all because of the support from our peers.”
Urban Strength is a new facility offering fitness classes that have been created and developed for local teens and adults. Their mission is to help individuals of all fitness levels improve their quality of life.
The Canadian Courage Project is a non-profit organization that raises funds to help homeless youth across the GTA and those specifically with a pet who may have a harder time accessing shelter or resources. The group has been busy making the hygiene care kits and hope to get them distributed in the next couple of weeks.
