The York Region Community Safety Village has been haunted in time for Halloween and trick or treaters are invited to attend.
Children will have a spook-tacular time showing off their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating door to door in a safe environment in the miniature village. The event also includes Halloween colouring stations and indoor and outdoor child-friendly haunted houses to explore. York Regional Police officers, firefighters and paramedics will be providing important safety tips.
Halloween in the Village takes place on Saturday, October 27, 2018, rain or shine with two time slots available.
Time slot 1 allows entry between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., with parking at the Community Safety Village, located at 3291 Stouffville Road (just west of Kennedy Rd.). Time slot 2 allows entry between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Parking for time slot 2 is at the Gormley GO Station located at 1650 Stouffville Road (just west of Hwy 404). No time slot 2 vehicles will be allowed entry at the Community Safety Village. Accessible shuttle buses will be provided and please bring your receipt to board the shuttle.
Registration is required in advance and can be done online at yrp.ca. To register for the event a $10 donation to United Way per vehicle is required. No refunds on donations will be issued. You must print your receipt and bring it with you to enter the event or board the shuttle bus.
